Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jazz Just what I needed Heard a snap when opening the garage this evening like most folks requiring this part. Went to the local HD, 15 minutes away, picked it up, installed it in less than 20 minutes. Much better quality than the original hardware that broke. I am in the process of building a new home and moving from this home; I will use these on my new garage as well. Took me longer to research the item than it did to install. March 12, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sil Inexpensive fix for what could have been an expensive problem! Excellent, inexpensive fix to a big problem! Our handyman came and installed this. Had to modify it by cutting a slit through the door horizontal reinforcement on one end and bent up the tip of the plate 90 degrees on the other. This is a Wayne Dalton door vintage 1998. Works perfectly and this reinforcement is so much stronger than the original! August 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lee Best and Easiest Quick Fix to a problem When I tried to open the garage door I head a loud noise. I found that the arm attached to the garage door had ripped away. I manually lifted the door and went strait to HomeDepot to find a solution. In the garage door parts area I found this repair kit. What a great product as it was easy to install and works great. Take the transmitter out of the harness and insert a small screw driver in to the divet on the side of the remote. This will pop open the remote for battery replacement. Although if you were to bring this to some place like radio shack they would do it for you. Thanks BB

Locate the sensor wire on the garage door opener inside your garage. use caution. You may need to use a small step ladder to reach and remove the cover. The sensor wire will be hanging down, on most units. Inspect the wire to make sure that it is not loose, or damaged. make sure the wire is hanging freely. If the wire is OK, and con…
