Security Screen Doors

Just what I was looking for. Looks nice. I love that I can now get a nice breeze through my front door without compromising security. The other thing that's really awesome about this door is that I can see out but nobody can see in! I tested this out with my dad and he got his nose all the way up to the screen and I could barely even see he was there. The dogs love it too. I would definitely purchase this again.

El Dorado 36 in.x80in. white outswing security screen door

This is an excellent door, however, the word "SCREEN" SHOULD BE REMOVED. There is no screen. It is most definitely a security door, but no screen. My husband will have to build a small frame with a screen attached to it to make sure no bugs, mosquitoes will be able to enter. I answered yes to the question whether I would recommend the door because it is an excellent heavy duty door, however, be aware there is no screen. All in all I like it, especially once I have my screen in there, but had I known there was no screen, I probably would not have bought it.

An excellent & afforable security measure.

This is a very well-made security "screen door" (its not a storm door), but where I live, security is far more important than heat-loss...besides I have an insulated steel main door on the other side of this security door. My front door opens "right onto the sidewalk" of an inner-city thoroughfare, I need to be able to leave the main door open for ventilation during the summer. This door allows me to do just that. BTW, this door is REVERSIBLE, allowing the doorknob and lock-set to be mounted ... read more left or right. Because the door knob of the main door would have interfered with the security door's knob, I chose to mount it with the lock set/ knob to the left, with the main door lock set on the right.

I love my new security door!

Hello my nickname is Margie.. I have received so many compliments from family, friends, and neighbors. My door is beautiful. I wanted something different so I paid a few dollars more for something that is going to last me a life time. The house frame was crooked (it is 45 years old) and my husband struggled just a bit. It was worth it. It even helped with my electricity bill. I felt comfortable leaving it open all day long and all the cool air circulated all over the house.

Best security door for the price

Bought and installed this in the same day. All hardware is included. You'll need to buy a special tool to screw the mounting bolts, but that's common for most security doors. The construction is comparable to the more expensive models. I found this on clearance for 85 dollars at the Santa Ana store on Edinger.

Good Value For The Price!

The door looks solid enough, but is a bit difficult to install via the security screws that come with it. Instructions say to use a flat screwdriver to install them - but honestly, that is a great deal of work. I would suggest mixing the screws with lag bolts as we did or buying a security screw installer/remover tool. I am a 110lb female and we did get it done - but think even for a huge strong guy - those screws would be a toughie. Good value for the price

Second time I bought this door. It was not completely straight so luckily my contractor was able to take a large board and press it into shape so it would fit. A less experienced person might have returned it. It makes one wonder if Home Depot is getting "seconds" from First Alert since the price is very reasonable. It's a solid door, powder coated and doesn't rust, can be outfitted with dead bolt. Good visibility thru the door. Small bugs can get thru the mesh but not an issue in coastal southern California.

This is my second buy on this door

This is my second buy on this door. It is a storm door and security door in one. Very well made with a good grade of glass. Will buy another one when the occasion arises.

Guardian security door

My wife wanted a new screen door. I bought the Guardian screen/glass door online and saved money. It fits like a glove and is very secure. I wish I had done this years ago. A++
