My sensors appeared to be out of alignment because the red light kept blinking. After an hour of frustration to fix the issue with out any success i decided to replace the sensors. It took me longer to drive to the store that it did to replace them. December 19, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jankdc Works great with an old Genie. Easy to install. Does not come with wire, but you can reuse the old wire. I have an old screw drive opener from the 90's and this worked just fine. I had the old square sensors and this was a fine replacement. Couple of tips: It doesn't come with wire, but for most people reusing the old wire works just fine. The new brackets lined up perfectly with the old brackets. I just reused the old screws and I didn't need to fiddle with it. They lined up perfectly. It was an easy install and should be within reach of anyone. Tools that you will need: screwdriver. Tools that you may need: ladder to unplug the motor (you can also flip the breaker off), wire cutter (any cheap ones will do), wire stripper (you can use a knife in a pinch-careful not to cut the wire), pencil (to mark pilot holes), drill and small bit.
