Great door and price

The is the 2nd door I have installed by myself. This one was far easier. The critical part is making the measurements fit the profile on the instructions. The closer requires a few days to settle end and get the final closure speed adjusted, but once complete it works great. It can't be too difficult. I am 68 years old and mounted it myself.

NICE DOOR- Easy Installation

I purchased this door to match the trim around our existing door. My husband does this type of work regularly and he said THIS IS A NICE DOOR. And the easiest installation of a storm door he has done! We are very pleased.

First time installer - Took me 2 hours

If I had to install another one, it would take me 45 minutes probably. I think the first time it takes time to figure out the instructions to get everything right so it took me about 2 hours. The most time consuming part was the first step, which was to align the door before drilling the holes. I wanted to make sure it was set correctly because once the holes are drilled, I can't re set or there would be holes visible. This took me long because this door was suppose to have an orange plastic ... read more guide at the bottom, but mine didn't come with it so it made it more difficult. The other part I didn't get was installing the handle. That's because I wanted to hurry up and finish and didn't pay attention to the instructions. If you don't follow exactly the steps, the handles are not as easy to install so pay attention to the instructions. All steps where easy to follow but those orange plastic tabs, they are sharp as knives, so be careful. I cut myself twice trying to pull them out. I'd wear work gloves to pull them out. I'm very happy that I got the easy install, because I didn't want to pay an installer and it was well worth the money. This door is well constructed, great quality, and it opens and closes very nice. If I had to change something, I would sell it without the screen and make that an option. I don't think I will ever use the screen so it would be better if the door was cheaper without the screen for those who don't care for it.

Excellent Choice

They've simplified the installation process and it really is very quick and easy. A second closer has also been added so there's one at the top and one at the bottom. This makes it a bit more difficult to open but I think it keeps everything nicely aligned.

Excellent Door!

All I can say is that the wife has made this comment at least a dozen times (really!) - "I love this new storm door!". Excellent quality. Installed just as indicated in instructions. Seals very tight.
