THEY ARE NOT! I purchased 4 of these in various colors for the family to operate our gate opener, after numerous failed attempts to program the remotes I called Chamberlain's Tech Support. After repeating myself 3 times on what products I have (gate opener and remote model) and that the remotes will not "learn", I was put on hold and then told they are incompatible! WTH?!?!?! Your own packaging and website state they are, if I would have know this I could have saved myself $125! March 6, 2016

My husband and I tried everything to program this to our garage. Fortunately, we went back and purchased the black and grey Genie remote garage opener and programming for the Genie was very easy to do and it works well. I recommend the Genie, please do not purchase this one it's a waste of money. April 19, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SROCK Works ok when you figure out how to program it. The advantage AND weakness of this garage opener remote is that it will work with many different opener units. Unfortunately, there is no single procedure that will program the remote for every brand, and even the same brands can have different procedures. It was frustrating getting this thing to work! However, now that it is programmed, it seems to work okay, although the activating button seems a bit sticky. Also, the price seems high for what it is. March 29, 2016
